Berry Celtic Festival 2019

It’s set to be a vibrant day of colour and music for the annual Berry Celtic Festival on Saturday 25th May. This year, in its 13th year, the festivities will focus on the Celtic nation of Ireland, and will feature a number of additional features to the program. Along with a day full of entertainment including the spectacular jousting medieval knights, there are workshops for Irish dancing, traditional tunes for kids, Gaelic singing, instrumental sessions along with country dance. For those with energy still to burn following the Festival, you can dance the night away at the Berry Celtic Ball.

The Festival commences with the Grand Street Parade along Berry’s Queen Street at 9.30am with a number of pipe bands, representatives of the all of the Celtic Clans, medieval knights on horseback and Scottish Terrier dogs, all making their way to Berry Showground. Entry for the daytime festival at the Showground is $10 for adults, with children under 15 years free.

Tickets for the evening dance event are also $10 (plus booking fee) and are now on sale through Berry Music Centre or online at Eventbrite. It’s set to be a great night of dancing with traditional tunes by popular band ‘No Such Thing’ and dances called by Sally Leslie.

The Berry Celtic Festival is a fundraising project of the Rotary Club of Berry.
