Rebecca Brennan "Coast to Country" Art Exhibition Opening @ The Garden Berry

The Garden Berry are excited to welcome Rebecca Brennan to The Garden for the first time, with her exhibition “Coast to Country”.

Join us for her opening night on Friday the 30th of June from 5pm to 6pm. Enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival, mingle with like-minded art lovers and meet Rebecca.

For many artists living in Australia, engagement with the landscape is inevitable. “I wish to embody my paintings with an atmospheric light and colour that can only be found in the rock platforms, the escarpment and the native flora and fauna of this country.” Travelling around Australia in her early 20’s, living in remote areas, has given Rebecca a strong sense of spirit and connection to place. Sketching en plein air, she then returns to her studio where she builds up layers of impasto and oil paint to convey the mood and the beauty of the chosen scene.

Winning numerous prizes, Rebecca’s work is part of both Wollongong and Kiama Council as well as National and International collections.

This exhibition will be on display from Thursday the 29th of June until Wednesday the 26th of July 2023.
