The Berry Quilting Retreat and Exhibition are back in 2016, bigger and brighter than ever. Organiser Elizabeth Dubbelde has gathered a stellar line up of tutors for the 27 & 28 August Retreat workshops, including:
Ro Bruhn – Jewellery making workshop using found objects
Neroli Henderson – ‘The Churning’ workshop
Meredith Woolnough – Sculptural embroidery and resin casting workshop
Michelle Mischkulnig – ‘Old city doors’ quilting workshop
Ali George – ‘Bowled over’ – turn odd threads, fabrics & wool/twine into another form
Gloria Loughman – ‘Distinctive doorways’ quilting workshop
Jen Kingwell – ‘Green tea and sweet beans’ or ‘Halo’ quilting workshop

The Exhibition, which runs in parallel to the retreat on 27th and 28th August, will feature a stunning array of works by the Retreat tutors and other superstars of the quilting world will feature at the exhibition as well as traders far and near. Exhibition to be held and the Berry School of Arts, 9:30am- 4pm, entry $5. Proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to Children’s Medical Research Institute.
