Big Country Festival scheduled for 8th May 2021 has been postponed due to COVID restrictions, and will now take place on Saturday 7th May 2022.
Festival organisers released this statement on 29th March 2021:
“We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to bring Big Country to life in May. To make this happen, we would have been required to shorten the show length, drop artists, allocate seating, and remove the rodeo so that we could fit you all in. That’s not the Big Country experience you signed up for and even though we’ve missed you, we didn’t want to compromise so heavily for the sake of going ahead this year. On top of this, when Big Country happens, we want to be sure that people coming from all over Australia will be able to reach the festival without threat of border closures or becoming stranded.
For these reasons, Big Country will now take place on Saturday 7 May 2022.
We are disappointed to share that Brad Cox is unable to perform on the new date, but we are very excited to announce that festival favourite Travis Collins will be joining the rest of the line-up for a night of bulls and beers in 2022.
The live music industry has taken a massive hit over the past 12 months. If you want to support the artists, crew, suppliers, and stallholders who are doing it tough, hold onto your ticket – it’s the best thing you can do. All tickets are automatically valid for the new date, so if you can stay with us, there’s nothing more you need to do! If the new date doesn’t work for you, you have the option to request a refund up until 12 April 2021. Ticket holders will receive an email from Moshtix with details on how to do this.
Stay safe and we’ll see you in 2022 🤠”
