The Folk trail leads to the Great Southern Hotel, with Illawarra singer-songwriter Olivia Coggan opening the evening before Ben Morgan takes the stage for the final headline set of the day.
Olivia creates indie folk-pop that combines contemporary textures with intimate, unguarded storytelling. Mentored by Kasey Chambers and coming through the Talent Development Project, her 2026 releases have attracted airplay on triple j and Nova. She has supported artists including Missy Higgins, Boy & Bear, The Dreggs and Kim Churchill.
From busking on Manly’s Corso and the streets of Byron Bay to stages around the world, Ben Morgan has built an impressive following through his cool, cinematic indie-folk, shaded with blues and an achingly nostalgic quality. Raised on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, his songwriting draws on classic American and UK folk traditions alongside Australia’s coastal-folk sound.
His journey has seen him tour extensively and support artists including Ziggy Alberts, Ryan Harris and Kim Churchill. He also joined Alberts on stage during his headline show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, with the performance later appearing on Alberts’ official live album.
