The Challenge Day is full of personal CHALLENGE and DISCOVERY of new skills in a supportive environment. Participants will learn to paddle and navigate a canoe down the creek and as well conquering the indoor rock-climbing wall.

The program is from 9am – 4pm

This workshop is a 2 hour workshop where participants will be making  THREE stacking rings. Workshops available Monday 30th September and Tuesday 8th October at 10am – 12pm.

This is a beginners taster workshop so no skills required to attend this class.

We provide tea & coffee and cool water during the workshop. Good conversation and a friendly encouraging atmosphere. An expert professional in a small group setting, providing you with assistants as required.

Recommended for ages 12+ and up.

These are drop off programs from 9am-3pm for children aged 4-14yrs. Program Dates: Tuesday 1st, Wednesday 2nd, Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th October 2024. Half and full day sessions available. Sessions require minimum 8 registrations to run.

This is a day full of EXPLORING nature and DISOVERING things about yourself and others. Participants will get the opportunity to trying new skills, explore their surroundings, and play in nature. Participants explore Broughton Creek in kayaks, have a go at using a bow and arrow and explore the mysteries of the dark maze. Activities are subject to change due to the conditions.

In 1984 Arthur Boyd was commissioned to create a series of Shoalhaven landscape paintings for the new Arts Centre Melbourne. In the Wilder Times exhibition, Boyd’s series of fourteen powerful paintings returns to Bundanon for the first time since its creation.

Responding to these paintings, WILDER TIMES brings together over 60 works by seminal Australian artists from the same time Boyd created this momentous body of work. The exhibition provides a window into a period of cultural dynamism in Australia, when ideas of landscape, land ownership and environmental protection were actively interrogated.

This exhibition is open 6th July 2024 – 13th October 2024. The Art Museum is open Wednesday–Sunday, 10am–5pm.

Treat your kids to a fun, educational and hands on experience during the school holidays. Children will have the opportunity to learn about chocolate, taste different types of chocolate as well as get hands on creating their own unique chocolate treats to take home.

Classes include:

• Where does chocolate come from? How is it grown and produced?
• Use professional chocolate equipment to produce their take home goodies.
• Package and label their produce.

During school holiday workshops, children will make a giant speckle and a marshmallow choc pop.

Classes run on Wednesday 2nd October 9:45am, 11:00am, 1:15pm and 2:30pm for up to 45min. Recommended for children 6yrs +. There is a maximum of 8 students per class.

Join Bundanon for a morning of comic-making all about the odd adventures we have in nature.

Have you ever noticed how moss only grows on one side of the trees around here? Remember when you found that bird in the park, and had to cover its head with a towel to pick it up safely? Isn’t it gross when all those beautiful Jacaranda petals turn into sludge? What kind of critter do you reckon lives in that hole over there?

Hosted by experienced illustrators and educators Fionn McCabe and Evie Hilliar, this workshop will cover the basics in comic making skills and terms, and teach tips and exercises for each participant to create a short, true (if not totally factual) comic about an experience they’ve had whilst out in the Australian bush, the backyard, or even just while having a look in a flower pot. Paper, Post-It notes and pens will be provided, but feel free to also bring your favourite things to draw with.

This is a comic making workshop for ages 8+. All children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Come and shop at the South Coast’s largest monthly outdoor market! Held on the first Sunday of every month except February, Berry Markets hosts approximately 200 stalls offering a range of arts and crafts, locally grown vegetables and produce, collectables, books, plants, leather goods, clothing and many other interesting stalls to browse.

Penwood Miniature Railway is the perfect day out for families. Operating 10am – 3pm on the first Sunday of the month (except October), Penwood offers unlimited rides for $5 per person. A sausage sizzle and drinks are available on site, or pack a picnic to enjoy within the beautiful grounds. Located just 2km south of Berry on the highway (look out for the new sign). Penwood is not-for-profit, with funds going to maintaining the trains.

Come and join us in the chocolate room for an afternoon of fun creating your own personalised Giant Freckle. Choose from milk or dark Belgian Chocolate and create your own decadent Giant Freckle. Go crazy and have fun adorning your Giant Freckle with an assortment of toppings such freeze dried strawberries, almonds, hazelnuts, rose petals, turkish delight, glaced orange, mini marshmallows, party mix, pretzels, caramel popcorn, sprinkles and more. While your Giant Freckle is setting, we will talk and taste different types of chocolate from raw 100% cacao, dark, milk, ruby and white. You will then package your own Giant Freckle in a beautiful gift box to take home or to gift.

Want to make more than 1 Giant Freckle, no problem. Just let us know on the day. $18 per additional Giant Freckle.

Bundanon’s Family Fun Days are designed for children aged 5-12 years and their carer.

After a guided visit to the Art Museum to view the current exhibition Wilder Times, participants will participate in the workshop ‘Found in sound: lost in music’, making marks that explore sounds, rhythms and patterns experienced in the landscape.

The $10 per person includes Art Museum entry, artmaking material and a light lunch. Bookings essential.

This is a day full of BUILDING and being CREATIVE. Participants will design, create and problem solve in an outdoor environment. The day’s activities will involve teams building a custom raft to complete challenges on the creek, sourcing materials to build their own campfire to cook damper and creating their own nature shelters. Participants will be encouraged to try new ideas, problem solve and learn from mistakes. Activities are subject to change due to the conditions, but we will endeavour to keep the same theme of Building and Creativity.

The program is from 9am – 4pm

Join respected Aboriginal Elder Aunty Deidre Martin, for a workshop using a combination of reclaimed and natural materials to create wearable art pieces.

Visitors will be guided through a mix of traditional and contemporary approaches and techniques. Drop-in to create something fabulous with an 80’s flair as Bundanon says goodbye to our exhibition Wilder Times.

This is a drop-in workshop suitable for beginners and seasoned makers with no bookings required.

Join the Shoalhaven Education Fund for an afternoon of classical music performed by the incomparable Diana Doherty, former Principal Oboe, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, accompanied by ‘Cor Plus Four’ (all current SSO members), and introducing SEF grant recipient Frances Gray on clarinet.

Enjoy a one-hour musical program, followed by drinks in the beautiful gardens of the historic Berry Courthouse.

A fundraiser for the Shoalhaven Education Fund. All proceeds will help young people from the Shoalhaven successfully make the transition into further education, training or their chosen vocation.

Art Workshops at Berry will host noted artist and experienced educator, Idris Murphy who will teach a 2 day workshop focusing on painting and sketching directly from nature.

Students will be exposed to a variety of ideas and approaches with informal discussion on composition, colour, mark-making, influences and spacial illusion. Students can paint in any medium. Small class size allows for individual attention, critique and developing your own style.

Idris’ work is held in the public collections of the Australian National Gallery, the National Library of Australia and the Art Gallery of NSW. He was winner of the ANZAC Prize 2015 and is highly experienced in teaching as a Senior Lecturer at the College of Fine Arts.
