Meet the Maker – A Night Behind the Bottle with Matt Atallah brings winemaker Matt Atallah to Bangalay Dining for a special evening celebrating the stories, places and people behind the bottle.

Matt’s family has been growing grapes for generations, while his own winemaking journey has taken him from the Hunter Valley to the Yarra Valley, McLaren Vale and the southern Rhône. It was ultimately the cool, elevated slopes of Mt Canobolas in Orange that provided the site he had been searching for, where he now produces small-batch wines from sustainably farmed fruit.

For this one-night-only event, Bangalay Dining Executive Chef Simon Furley has created a five-course menu showcasing South Coast spring produce, with each course paired with one of Matt’s wines.

Matt will join guests throughout the evening, sharing the stories behind the wines, his approach to winemaking and the journey from vineyard to glass. Guests will also have the opportunity to taste and order wines following dinner.
