Berry will commemorate Anzac Day this Friday 25th April, with the traditional street parade and memorial service. The Parade will begin at 10:30am (participants to assemble at 10:15am) near Apex Park and will travel along Queen St, before heading down Alexandra St to the Memorial Park, where the service will commence at approx. 10:50am.
Should you wish to attend a Dawn Service the closest services are to be held at:
- Bomaderry – Walsh Memorial Park, Meroo Street commencing at 6am; and
- Shoalhaven Heads – March commences at 5.50am from Centre Shops to the Shoalhaven Heads Memorial Park for the 6am Service.
In keeping with new trading regulations this year, some retail businesses in town will be closed for the day. However, the majority of cafes and eateries will be open, and a number of the smaller, boutique retailers will open after the commemorations. You’ll also find traditional ‘two up’ at local pubs The Berry Hotel and The Great Southern Hotel Berry from 12pm, and at Shoalhaven Heads Hotel from 1pm.
