The Treat Factory is a family business producing preserves, condiments, old-fashioned confectionary and quality Belgian chocolates from recipes handed down over 4 generations.
We are the region’s largest gourmet food providore, producing more than 300 varieties of jams, marmalades, sauces, chutneys, dressings, chocolates, confectionary and more. Our products have a strong reputation for quality winning many Fine Food awards over the years.
Visitors to The Treat Factory can purchase from our onsite retail store, view the production of chocolates and confectionary (during production time) and smell the preserves simmering. There are plenty of treats, both sweet and savoury. We have it all!
The Treat Factory manufactures and retails from the historic Old Berry Central Creamery.
A variety of chocolate-making experiences including kids school holiday Bean to Bar chocolate workshops are available at The Treat Factory. Check our website for classes, dates and times.
Tour groups and buses are welcome to visit our large retail store. Chocolate demonstrations are available upon booking for groups of 20 or more.
Open everyday except Christmas.

Berry Writers’ Festival 2026
Workshops and Talks
The 2026 Festival runs from 6-8 November - tickets on sale 10 September 2026. The Berry Writers’ Festival is a biennial celebration of words and literature in the regional township of Berry, NSW, established in 2022 by community volunteers. Berry Writers’ Festival: three days of workshops, talks and discussions featuring new and established local authors and creatives from further afield. The festival nurtures literary culture, a love of reading amongst children and forges resilient connections amongst authors and the South Coast community. The festival is a space for a range of opinions, perspectives and philosophies to cover contemporary political and social issues and to embrace diversity. They offer performances, workshops and masterclasses to encourage those interested in developing their talents or learning more about a range of topics. Key components of the importance of the 2026 festival are the School’s Program, which gives more than 1600 children access to specialty author programs, and the free access showcase for debut writers, which is run in collaboration with the South Coast Writers Centre....
