A Day Well Spent: Folk – Jack Davies (duo) + Olivia Coggan @ The Berry Hotel

The Folk trail heads to The Berry Hotel for a double bill featuring Illawarra singer-songwriter Olivia Coggan, followed by one of the day’s headline acts, Jack Davies (duo).

Raised in the Illawarra, Olivia creates indie folk-pop that combines contemporary textures with intimate, unguarded storytelling. Mentored by Kasey Chambers and coming through the Talent Development Project, her 2026 releases have attracted airplay on triple j and Nova. She has supported artists including Missy Higgins, Boy & Bear, The Dreggs and Kim Churchill.

Walyalup/Fremantle songwriter Jack Davies is known for rambling poetics, warbled fingerpicking and an endearingly human stage presence. From busking on the streets of Fremantle to touring extensively across Australia, he has built a reputation for intimate performances filled with laughter, sorrow and beautifully understated songwriting.

For his Berry performance, Jack is joined by George Gare from the original Bush Chooks. The duo will perform original songs alongside a few new ones, layering warbled guitar and shimmering harmonies in a set full of warmth, character and the occasional creaking chair.
