ADFAS Shoalhaven’s October lecture, which will be the last for the year, will be presented by highly respected Egyptologist Lucia Gahlin. Lucia is not only highly qualified she is a skilled speaker on her lecture topic, Nefertiti.
Nefertiti was the Chief Royal Wife of the Ancient Egyptian pharaoh Akhenaten (c1352-c1336 BC), and together they continue to fascinate. Lucia will examine the various roles (including political and cultic) played by Nefertiti and the other royal women of the time, and how these were expressed in stunning artistic representation.
Visitors are very welcome. As the lecture starts at 7.30pm sharp, it is recommended that visitors arrive at 7.15pm.
