(Not So) Blue Light Disco

Aunty Jonny and their band of mischief makers are taking over the Boyd Education Centre for one night only, bringing iconic eighties music and style for the (Not So) Blue Light Disco.

Crowds are invited to put on their best disco outfits and practice their fanciest footwork to dance the night away under the disco ball. The disco will light up the night with food trucks, cocktail carts, fire pits, and crimping stations! There will also be prizes for best dressed, and roaming performances paging homage to the best of the eighties era.

One of Sydney’s best loved DJs and founder of The Dollar Bin Darlings, Aunty Jonny preaches disco and love all over Australia, appearing for the first time at Bundanon. They are an actor, writer and DJ, and have received the Burton Award for outstanding Shakespearian Performance and Sydney Theatre Critic’s Best Newcomer Award. Their appearances across film and TV include Mr Inbetween, Stan’s The Other Guy, Les Norton, the ABC’s award-winning RIOT and the mini-series Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door.

Aunty Jonny will be joined by co-host actor Duncan Fellows (Deadloch, The Letdown) as alter ego Glenn Twenty. Together, the duo is sure to stir up trouble as they engage with audiences and get everyone on the dance floor.

A free disco bus is available to transport party-goers from the Nowra CBD to Bundanon’s front door.

This bizzarro (Not So) Blue Light Disco will light up Saturday night at Bundanon as part of an entire weekend of wild events.

Across Saturday 7 to Sunday 8 September there will also be bush foraging, queer storytelling, live theatre, and of course Bundanon’s latest exhibition, Wilder Times: Arthur Boyd and the mid-1980s landscape.
