Berry is the first truly rural town south of Sydney, a mere two hour drive from the CBD. The town is renowned for its bucolic pastoral setting, but now it’s the shopping and the cafes which set it apart. As soon as you cross the bridge and glimpse the gorgeous rotunda set amongst trees in beautiful Apex Park you know this is a special place.
Berry is ‘the town of trees’ but could equally be known as ‘the town for all seasons’. In autumn the trees turn gold and amber in a magnificent display, in winter the cool crisp air lures you to a welcoming fire, in spring the gardens are a garden-lover’s dream and in summer you are just ten minutes from spectacular Seven Mile Beach and the national park. The town is steeped in history and the surrounding countryside is a treasure for bushwalkers and explorers alike.
